How to Protect Your Car from UV Damage

UV rays can be harmful for vehicles, as they can cause surfaces to fade, crack, and just generally look older than they really are. But it’s hard to keep your car out of the sunlight at all times, unless you plan to keep it in storage forever! So how can you protect interior and exterior parts of your vehicle from the sun’s harmful UV rays? The answer is so simple that it comes in a convenient bottle. Here’s what you should know about how you can easily protect your car from UV damage for years to come.

Find a Product That Works

If your goal is to protect your car from the damage the sun’s rays can cause, it makes sense to find a product that was made just for this purpose. One example is 303 Automotive Protectant, which is a spray you can use to shield the interior and exterior of your car from sun damage.

So what kind of damage can this product prevent? Any kind of problems that UV rays cause! For example, the sun can cause a bright color to fade over time, keeping it from looking as vibrant as it should. It might even cause discoloration on the interior of the car, meaning your seats are no longer the shade you want them to be.

Finally, constant sunlight can cause rubber, vinyl, and plastic to crack, which means the interior of your car won’t look as good as you’d like. This can be a problem whether you plan to display your vehicle at car shows or just want a car that looks nice for years! That’s why you need a product that really works to protect the inside and outside of your car from fading or cracking over time.

How 303 Automotive Protectant Can Help

So now you know 303 Automotive Protectant can shield your car from sun damage. But does it leave behind residue like some products might? The answer is no. Instead, it provides a nice dry, matte finish, without a greasy or oily feel left behind. So the only evidence you sprayed this product on important parts of the car will be the fact that sunlight hasn’t damaged them like it normally would.

Plus, 303 Automotive Protectant can repel dirt, dust, and stains. And it’s safe for a variety of materials, including vinyl, rubber, plastic, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and finished leather. That means you can use it on your dashboard, tires, windshield wipers, headlights, and more. The only areas you shouldn’t use this product on are unfinished leathers (including suede), flooring, and fabric.

How to Use This Protectant

One of the best things about 303 Automotive Protectant is that it’s easy to use. First, make sure the surface you want to treat is clean, dry, and not in direct sunlight. Then spray the area with 303 Automotive Protectant and wipe it dry with a microfiber towel. If you see any streaking or excess product, quickly wipe it off with a wet towel, and then dry the surface completely.

Every application lasts about 30 to 45 days, so plan to retreat the area every four weeks or so for optimum UV protection. And note that the more you buff with a dry towel, the longer the results will last and the more effective the product will be.
