TriNova Granite Sealer – What You Need to Know

There are so many reasons to invest in natural stone for your home. Whether it’s placing limestone tiles for a new bathroom floor or installing a granite countertop in the kitchen, the material elevates the room’s overall look.

But before you go scouring the web to research different stone types, colors, pricing, and potential vendors, it’s important to note that these surfaces require special attention. Using generic products to protect quartz, marble, granite, or any other natural stone simply doesn’t cut it.

The secret to safeguarding any natural stone surface is regularly treating it with the right protectant, like TriNova Granite Sealer. Read on to discover how the specialized formula provides long-lasting protection against stains and spills to keep natural stone looking its absolute best, no matter how messy things get.

TriNova Granite Sealer Explained

Using a pH-neutral formula, TriNova Granite Sealer contains protective polymers that penetrate deep into the surface of any natural stone. Once cured, the product provides a protective layer over the porous stone material to effectively block out any spills and stains. Therefore, any time a cup of coffee or glass of wine is knocked over, the liquid does not have a chance to absorb into the granite, marble, or whichever natural stone surface that has been sealed. In addition to providing a protective layer, the sealant also actively prevents residue from sticking to the surface or water spotting from occurring on the top layer.

How to Use TriNova Granite Sealer

First and foremost, you have to clean the natural stone surface using an appropriate cleansing agent like TriNova Daily Granite Cleaner. Once the surface is cleaned and prepped, it’s extremely easy to seal it. All you have to do is spray TriNova Granite Sealer directly onto the countertop, shower, floor, or whichever natural stone surface you are actively treating. When the surface is covered with the product, buff it off with a dry microfiber cloth in three square-foot sections at a time. Give the solution another one to two minutes before wiping it completely dry. After an hour, the surface will be properly sealed, and you can put it to the test by spilling some water on the top layer. Don’t be surprised to see it slide right off!

How Often Should You Seal Natural Stone Surfaces?

The answer to this question varies based on stone type and color. For example, if we consider a stone kitchen countertop, the resealing frequency depends on what material we are working with. Some stone is more porous than others, meaning that they absorb liquids or stains more easily. These types of surfaces are lighter in color and require you to reseal them once a month. Darker stone surfaces that are less porous can go more than a month without resealing. In short, if you want to play it safe, try working this best practice into your routine every four to six weeks to keep your premium stone in top condition.
