STA-BIL 360°® Performance Celebrates 25th Annual National Lawn Mower Racing Championships

September 13, 2016 (Northbrook, Ill.) – As Summer powers down, lawn mower racers are fueling up as the U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) is set to take to the turf for the 25th Annual STA-BIL 360°® Performance Nationals. Lawn mower racers from near and far will be revving up their engines on Saturday, September 24 at the Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC.

The 25th annual national championships will feature 10 classes of Sod Slingers racing at speeds up to 60 mph in deck-to-deck bladeless competition for trophies, glory and bragging rights. The lineup will include Legends of The Lawn, including The Ace of Blades, The Garden Gangster, Turfinator and Sodzilla.

“Lawn mower racing has become a global phenomenon, and it’s a testament to the racers’ dedication and passion, and the fans amazing support, that we have been around for 25 years of kicking grass,” quipped Bruce Kaufman, “Mr. Mow It All,” USLMRA President. “We are one big family at the USLMRA and we always say, a family that mows together, grows together. We look forward to another 25 years plowing forward.”

And, to celebrate our super sod slingers, on Sunday, Sept. 25, more than 100 racers and family members will gather at the Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 8th annual USLMRA Lawn Mower Racing Hall of Fame Ceremony. We’ll take this opportunity to recognize two Turf Titans who have made a major impact on the sport:
