If I top off my tank, say 13 gallons in a 90 gallon tank, do I add treatment for 13 gallons, or 90 gallons? The prior tank was already stabilized and I keep my tank full.

I have a question. Can I add fuel stabilizer to a half-full tank and then fill the tank in order to mix up the stabilizer? Or must it only be added to a full tank? Seems to me that it would get sloshed around anyway while driving the car one last time to get it into the system. Thanks !

In reply to Laura Cassini. It is recommended that a stabilizer be used every time the fuel in the tank is cycled, meaning treating when the fuel is completely replaced (run almost empty and refill). Adding every single time the tank is topped off is not necessary. This will help to keep fuel as fresh as possible and to keep the fuel system clean -especially during infrequent use.

How often do you need to add fuel stabilizers if your drive your car 3 times a week
